iShadow Application Suite ("iShadow") is targeting Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix MetaFrame environments. Before running installation please review prerequisites regarding supported operating systems as well as versions of Citrix MetaFrame Presentation server.

• Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
• Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI)
• In addition iShadow heavily relies on Citrix MFCOM (MetaFrame Component Object Model). Since there are many different flavors of MFCOM, iShadow can adopt to available version.

Although iShadow can be installed outside MetaFrame environment, direct installation on MetaFrame servers has advantages:

• Simplified installation with no additional MFCOM installation/configuration steps.
• Higher performance, since most of processing depends on local components as compared to remote DCOM instantiations.
• Benefit of using iShadow as a published application accessible by remote users without a need of iShadow client installation.
• Simple maintenance and update management via build in replication capabilities.
