Interoperability Mode (working with Third Party virtual displays) Starting with version 1.0.0.720 Virtual Display Manager honors third party virtual displays, available for example from Citrix Systems as part of Presentation Server 4.5 FR1 and Desktop Server 2.0. By default, VDM detects these displays and treats them as physical monitors which can be further subdivided by VDM.
Addition of VDM to the standard full screen Citrix ICA session enhances application compatibility with multiple monitors as well as provides a more granular control. For example, by turning Interoperability Mode ON and OFF Virtual Display Manager can turn ON and OFF the multi-monitor support without losing remote connectivity, capability which otherwise is not available.
Interoperability menu is found at the bottom of the VDM's System Tray menu and is only enabled for remote sessions with built-in multi-monitor virtualization.
This version offeres improved support for full screen RDP sessions under VDM when starting from tMicrosoft's MSTSC.EXE client:
