| There were reports on VDM lockups under Trend Micro. Please download the update 2.1.0.17 that does address AV presence alongside VDM. |

I installed VDM 2.1.0.12 on my server along with an update to another program and since then have had a lot of trouble, including lockups. I wasn't sure which program was causing the problem but suspected it might be VDM. I was going to revert to an older version when I saw this update. I will try it and post again if problems continue. For reference I am not using Trend Micro, I use Symantec Antivirus Corporate edition 10 on a Windows 2003 terminal server.

2.1.0.17 is still having issues for me, particularly on logon. It appears to come up, including the taskbar and desktop icons. Explorer is frozen, though. You can't interact with the desktop, taskbar, start menu, etc. The cursor changes to an hourglass over the taskbar. I have to end explorer.exe and restart it then everything seems ok after that. I am going to revert to my last 2.0 version of VDM which did not exhibit these problems.

Version 2.0.0.7 is back on our servers and our issues, most notably the logon issue, has gone away. It seems pretty clear that the 2.1 series has some conflicts with anti-virus software.
