What's the process/possibility of installing server side stuff need to host RDC on XP Pro boxes? I'm thinking this is just a Win2003 Server product but I do have an msdn subscription so perhaps I can load it up on my other pcs. Currently using TightVNC for those situation but this looks like a great replacement if I can host connections with RDC or other.

Connecting to the other (xp pro sp2) boxes via VPN.

thx

Steve,

Both iShadow Suite and iShadow Desktop work on Windows XP PRO workstations. If you like to take control of the desktop (another user is already logged in) you can use VNC server at the target machine and connect to it via iShadow Desktop. In case you need to manage XP PRO workstation with remote login enabled you can use RDP protocol via iShadow Desktop.

Although this is a technical forum, I am sure pricing is relevant to your question. As of today licenses for iShadow Application Suite are substantially discounted when installed on XP PRO workstation or even servers in admit mode – they are set at $95 per machine as compared to server license of $450. Each machine license comes with unlimited user licenses for iShadow Desktop when executed from a licensed system. Use the feedback form to request more sales info or call the phone numbers provided at www.ishadow.com front page.

PS. Another benefit – you can use iShadow Acceleration Service provided with the product to manage system processes over SSL encrypted connection. This approach does improve response times and is very useful when RPC calls are inefficient or present a security risk.
