Before starting screen sharing in Zoom:
Open the Virtual Display Manager context menu
— Do this by either:
Right-clicking the VDM icon in the Windows System Tray, or
Right-clicking the title bar of the VDM Configuration Window
From the context menu, make sure the desired Virtual Display (e.g., Display #6) is:
Enabled
Selected
This step ensures Zoom can detect and offer the Virtual Display as a shareable window in the next step.
When you’re ready to share:
Click the green “Share Screen” button in Zoom
In the window that appears, scroll to find the “Application Windows” section
Locate and select the virtual screen (e.g., Display #6)
Virtual Display Manager makes it easy to switch between Virtual Displays without reopening Zoom’s sharing window, allowing you to stay focused on your presentation.
To switch the shared display:
Open the VDM context menu
Select a different Virtual Display (e.g., Display #4, Display #6)
Zoom will automatically switch to the newly selected Virtual Display — no interruptions, no manual re-selection inside Zoom.
Sharing a Virtual Display behaves differently from sharing a specific app window:
Any application window that appears over the virtual display will be visible to Zoom participants
However, protected content (e.g., DRM-protected or secure windows) may not be visible, depending on system-level protections, including VDM’s own “Incognito Mode”
