Adobe Acrobat Support Alongside VDM

Please note that VDM is supported on Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012/2012R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022

Adobe Acrobat support alongside Virtual Display Manager requires adjustment to Adobe Acrobat AppContainer settings

How to Disable AppContainer in Adobe Acrobat for VDM Compatibility

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat.

  2. Click the Menu in the top-left corner and select Preferences.

  3. In the Categories list, choose Security (Enhanced).

  4. Uncheck the box labeled “Run in AppContainer”.

  5. When prompted with the message
    “Disabling AppContainer requires manual restart of the application. Are you sure you want to continue?” — click Yes.

  6. Click OK to save your changes.

Note: You must restart Adobe Acrobat for the changes to take effect.
